Outside of being well run, with incredible staff, it checks a lot of boxes for a great building that really feels like home.First of all the building is actually built decently well. It feels more like a mix of condo level quality at rental rates. A lot of these buildings are tossed together and feel very cheap - willoughby feels a little step above.The views, gym and amenities are clean, well built, and just what you need, not massively overdone like a lot of other spots trying to sell you on perks you won't use.The check list is pretty unreal when compared to other areas.1. Access to trains (1 block BQR & 1 stop into soho)2. Access to grocery stores (1 block to target & traders, food market and more box chain shopping)3. Access to park / green space (1 block to one of the best parks in BK)4. Access to one of the top up and coming neighborhoods (1 block to Fort Greene, coffee shops, restaurants, and neighborhood is special)5. Walk, run, or quick bike to the water in dumboI could go on, but all things considered this is a great place to land if you are looking to be in BK, close to the city, and don't want the Williamsburg hype.

The amenities—especially the gym and rooftop—are top-notch, and there’s a great sense of community here. The team puts on multiple fun events each month which makes it easy to meet neighbors and feel at home. The location is also super convenient—just a 5–10 minute walk to several major subway lines, with tons of restaurants, bars, and grocery stores nearby. Highly recommend!

The lobby is BIG, BEAUTIFUL and always smells nice. The coffee/tea station is a sweet bonus. The fact that I am now right in the heart of downtown Brooklyn yet tucked away is priceless! Being walking distance to transportation (bus/subway, etc.) shopping centers, supermarkets, banks, hospitals, cafes, restaurants, movie theaters, performing theaters, etc., is such a BLESSING! The neighborhood is clean, safe and quiet. The Fort Greene part is right up the street. I just LOVE it here. The view from my unit is SPECTACULAR! Being a tenant at The Willoughby is really a DREAM COME TRUE!🙌🏽
