Sky - Luxury Apartments Introduce
In the dynamic and highly competitive landscape of New York City real estate, the term "luxury apartment" often implies more than just high-end finishes and a central location. It signifies a lifestyle—a seamless blend of comfort, convenience, and access to a comprehensive suite of amenities that redefine urban living. Sky - Luxury Apartments, located at 605 W 42nd St, is a prominent example of this new wave of residential living. It is a striking high-rise building designed to offer residents an all-encompassing experience, with a vast array of on-site features and services. From its impressive modern architecture to its meticulously planned amenity spaces, the building aims to create a self-contained community where every need is anticipated and met. The building's scale and ambition reflect the aspirations of a modern New Yorker, seeking a home that is both a private sanctuary and a hub of activity.
As a notable fixture in the Midtown West skyline, Sky is more than just a place to live; it is a lifestyle destination. The building's design, which includes expansive glass facades, allows for an abundance of natural light and stunning views of the city. The sheer volume of amenities, reportedly spanning over 70,000 square feet, sets it apart from many other residential properties in the city. The philosophy behind its design is to provide residents with everything they could possibly need within the building itself, minimizing the daily grind of navigating a bustling city. From a comprehensive fitness center to convenient on-site services, the building strives to create an environment where living well is made effortless. However, as is the case with any large residential community, resident experiences can be varied, and a complete picture is always composed of both the building's offerings and the feedback of those who live there.
Situated at 605 W 42nd St, Sky - Luxury Apartments boasts an enviable location in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, specifically within the lively neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen. This area offers the perfect balance of convenience and cultural vibrancy. Residents are just a short walk from Broadway's world-famous theater district, iconic Times Square, and the emerging Hudson Yards neighborhood. The building’s address provides effortless access to the Hudson River waterfront, perfect for a run or a leisurely stroll. For commuters and explorers, the location is a dream. It is a short walk from the Port Authority Bus Terminal and multiple subway lines, including the A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, N, Q, R, S, and 7 trains, which provide easy access to all parts of the city. The accessibility of the location is a major selling point for anyone working in the area or simply looking for a central base from which to navigate the urban landscape.
The building's commitment to accessibility is also a notable feature, with a wheelchair accessible entrance and a wheelchair accessible parking lot, ensuring that the building is welcoming and accommodating to all residents and their guests. The surrounding streets are well-trafficked and well-lit, providing a sense of security and ease of movement at all hours of the day.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve lived at Sky Luxury Building for two and a half years, and it’s by far the worst apartment I’ve ever lived in. During my time here, I’ve dealt with two major water leaks, and each time, the management team completely failed to handle the situation properly. They dragged their feet on repairs until mold had spread everywhere. Their so-called solution? Just painting over the mold instead of actually fixing the problem. It’s not only unprofessional but also a serious health hazard. If you value your well-being and want competent management, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!
April 08 · XINLU ZHOUWho ever wants to stay here, run. This building looks good on the outside but is so bad on the inside. My first apartment on 40th some floor had a constant wheezing of the elevator, can’t sleep. They switched my apartment after me complaining a lot. And new apartment curtain fell and after 3 weeks they still haven’t fixed it. I’m sleeping without curtains right above my head. And I notice the AC gets water after turning on for a while. Right now my WiFi doesn’t work anymore. Their management team is like nonexistent, so slow and not responsive. Honestly can find better deals or just make your lives better at other places. This “luxury” apart is relatively cheap for a reason.
August 14 · lenunu cThe Moinian Group: A Rotten, Ruthless Scourge on New York City Real EstateBE WARNED - DO NOT RENT HERE.I am writing to publicly denounce The Moinian Group for their appalling behavior, gross negligence, and outright abuse of tenants. My experience with this company was so egregious I was forced to leave my apartment — not by choice, but because of their complete failure to provide even the most basic conditions for livable housing. This wasn’t passive neglect. They actively allowed dangerous, degrading conditions to persist while refusing any accountability. Severe flooding destroyed my belongings. Security was non-existent — multiple break-ins, lost master keys, and unauthorized entries into my home. During emergencies, there was zero communication, zero support, and absolutely no respect. They ran the building like a dumpster fire. When I finally left, it constituted constructive eviction — a legal condition that frees tenants from lease obligations due to uninhabitable living conditions caused by the landlord.Despite everything, I acted in good faith: I professionally cleaned the apartment, cooperated with maintenance, and upheld my end. Their response? Retaliation. They filed fraudulent credit reports for a completely fabricated debt, without notice, documentation, or any legal justification. Their actions were false, damaging, and potentially illegal.Filed with: CFPB, NY AG, FTC, and relevant housing authorities.Pattern of abuse, backed by public complaints and an F rating from the BBB.This is not a property management company — it’s a predatory operation. The Moinian Group exploits tenants and then weaponizes broken systems like credit reporting to punish anyone who pushes back. Their conduct is vindictive, immoral, and a disgrace to New York City real estate. If you’re considering renting from The Moinian Group — don’t. You’ll be treated like disposable income, put at risk by negligence, and financially punished for defending your rights.Avoid them at all costs.
August 11 · Paul BielkiewiczI lived at Sky for over a year. During that time, I dealt with things like a bad smell from the toilet, mold in the washer, and a broken microwave/oven that wasn’t fixed for over 2 months, my work requests were ignored and I had no way to heat food. I didn’t complain publicly about any of that. But what really crossed the line was during move-out. While I stepped out briefly to help my mover, building security entered my apartment without permission and went through all my personal belongings. When I came back, my things were thrown around, underwear, sanitary pads, and pages from my journal were on the floor. Later, security showed me a video of themselves flipping through my passport, wallet, laptops, and cash. I was never contacted before or after. No formal explanation or apology.I thought paying for a luxury building meant safety and respect. It didn’t. Especially as a woman, this was incredibly violating. If you’re considering moving in, please be aware.
June 17 · Carina YeI’ve experienced verbal harassment multiple times from the sky shuttle bus driver, and after speaking with other female residents, we found this is a recurring issue. This driver has harassed many people, plays loud music while driving, and refuses to turn on the A/C even during extreme heat. WHAT A JOKE?! We are paying to get harassed as resident?Management is fully aware of these complaints but continues to do nothing—just saying they can’t control third-party vendors. This is not acceptable when resident safety is at risk. If you have experienced harassment from this driver or still see him operating the shuttle, please report.Knowing about safety issues and choosing not to act is negligence. As residents, we have every right to demand justice and action. If you’re looking for a peaceful and safe community, stay away from this building. It’s not just mold, leaks, and bugs—you can be harassed using the shuttle, and no one will care.
