Ten Percent of the people cause ninety percent of the problems. This is why they leave bad reviews, and you wouldn't want them as your neighbor. Just a thought..
April 19 · Andrew LeedsI honestly had an extremely good experience renting from Leeds. Management was prompt, helpful, and well-organized. The application process is pretty thorough and I would recommend having a good co-signer, but the rent for the area (Upper West Side), was remarkably reasonable when I signed on. Then when it came time for my lease renewal, it was barely adjusted for inflation: a measly $15! Unprecedented in this year of skyrocketing rents gouging out or forcing out tenants. The best part of my experience here was the live-in super(s), Louis (and his lovely wife). He was extremely friendly, responsive, helpful, and reliable. Truly above and beyond. He would be at my door within minutes and fix anything I needed. If I locked myself out at 3am, him or his wife would wake up and let me in without complaint. I'm so thankful to have had them. I moved to live with my SO upstate, but I shed a tear leaving!

Helpful, responsive, kind. In general, management was fine. Didn’t fix stealing packages problem though. They know who does it systematically in the building.
November 14 · Polina NagovitsynaI was a tenant for over 2 years. Due to circumstances outside of my control, I was faced with breaking my lease early. Not only was Barbara extremely rude and unhelpful via email, she refused to return my phone call to work through the situation amicably. After 2 years, you would think they would have appreciated a good tenant, but instead were forcing me to sign a lease break agreement stating that I would pay nearly $1000 to break my lease in addition to any unpaid rent until a new renter was in the apartment. I was trying to work out an agreement, but was met with responses like "calling our office won't change our policy" and "and Mr. Leeds should divert his office staff from his business to yours?" and "you have your answer." Horrible management. Avoid at all costs.

They are great at collecting rent on time but somehow can't fix anything on time.... avoid at all costs if possible.
