I did some research and found that as of June 11, 2025, the FARE act makes it illegal to charge brokers fees. When I started inquiring about this, I was ghosted. They were hounding and pressuring me prior to my questioning about how soon I can get the application done, and now that it’s done I can’t get a response from anyone. This is such a disappointment because I was truly looking forward to starting my lease soon, and now I am afraid because I’ve given them so much sensitive information.

August 09 · T WSo this reality decided to call me to view an apartment in Manhattan, I agreed the next day I left my job then headed to the city to view the apartment well the realtor NEVER showed up!!! I was stuck in the pouring rain trying to reach out to them it turned out there was NO apartment in the first place!!! I learned my lesson to not pick on a random call again!!! This was such a waste of time this reality is shady and doesn’t have good intentions be careful who you attend for help to get an apartment!!!!

Gabriel in the office was also great too, he requested early pick up for my keys.I absolutely love my new apartment! I think the negative reviews on this page more have to do with the landlord / situation of the apartment vs the agency

This was super important to us because this was our first apartment and my first time moving out so he definitely helped to calm any anxiety I had. Even when we ran into an issue securing a guarantor he assisted us through that as well.As far as interacting with the office goes, we found that it’s best to contact them through email and to CC whomever needs to be added to the email chain. Many phone calls went unanswered by the office but not by Gus!We’re super grateful for our new place and for the opportunity to work with East Williamsburg Realty!

February 23 · Deneeka GrantThey call to confirm an apartment viewing. We confirm. Then I get there and there is no one to show me an apt. I waited 30min before someone decided to contact me. By that time I left because who are they to have me waiting with out any contact information besides the office. I called the office also and spoke to Patricia on a couple times. She is the 1 who scheduled me and then when I talked to her while outside the address we confirmed she told me "to sit around a while". Worst realty etiquette ever. No professionalism. Was not punctual nor respectfully of my time.
