★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The rent is so ridiculous for a 1 bedroom. This building is exactly what’s wrong with NYC. High rent in crappy areas and they can’t even fix the problems in the building because they don’t care. They don’t care about their tenants at all. Great job helping in ruining nyc.
March 22 · G DomLived here for 9 years. Haven't really had any major issues or complaints with this building or management. The door people are helpful and friendly. The new management has been responsive and helpful. The apartments are large and modern and comparatively cheaper for a similar quality apartment out there. The rent raises are controlled vs. market rate increases. I've enjoyed living here.
June 05 · S AThe building is clean, the porter and front door staff are exceptional. The management leaves a lot to be desired.Edit: Greystar implemented a building policy that if a neighbor is being loud during quiet hours that neighbors disturbed by the noise should call 311 or the police directly to manage. That’s right, they’ve instructed tenants to call the cops on their neighbors. Don’t move into this building or any building managed by Greystar as long as this policy is in effect.I was charged double for my rent May 1st and instead of refunding the double payment, management offered to "credit my account" for the double charge.More than a week later I'm still waiting for an update on a check being issued for the double payment."Conveniences" like rent cafe and parcel pending that have been implemented since moving in have been anything but convenient. The cost of living here isn't worth the hassle, if I hadn’t just resigned my lease, I'd move.
October 06 · Amanda Stroud-AmoryI’ve been living here for a few years now and since they’ve changed management they have really stepped up. The doormen/women are so helpful and kind. Eben, the community manager is always so quick to help. The apartment units are by far the largest I’ve seen in all of bushwick/Williamsburg. The gym and laundry room definitely need to be renovated but glad to have one at all. Overall the building has been improved with the new management team.
February 27 · Michelle AnneCurrent tenant, been here for 2 years. We love the apartment itself; it's spacious and we get a good amount of lighting. As for the building, there is a building-wide mice/roach problem (uploaded a photo of a mouse in my apartment here, this is from earlier this summer 2022. Roach photo from October 2022, management: Greystar). Almost half of the washers/dryers are broken and haven't been fixed since we've lived here, so everyone has trouble doing laundry and we usually have to do ours super early or late for a free machine. I personally had to get a laundry card from a generous neighbor when I first moved in, and the machine is often full and can't refill cards so neighbors have to share cards in order to do laundry.Management changed from First Service to Greystar, and we still have issues with them in different ways. First Service didn't respond to any emails, and Greystar does respond but doesn't take what you say into account. Greystar imposed many strict policies and steep fees since coming in; for example, you can only bring 2 people to the roof/lounge, and if you want more than that in the lounge, it's a $500 deposit and $300/hr on top. We agree with the deposit to keep people respectful of the space, but $300/hr is way too high for what we have. We did research and other buildings charge from nothing to $75/hr to $150/hr. Greystar told us their other buildings charge $300/hr, and we looked it up and they all have grills and other amenities that ours doesn't have, so $300/hr at our building is far too high. We tried to offer a lower rate to meet in the middle, but no luck. They ticketed another tenant for bringing 5 friends up to the roof to look at the view. (They are watching!)They also increased the rate for a parking space.Greystar also downgraded the doormen's responsibilities, so it's not a doorman building even though it's advertised as such. They replaced the existing package system with Parcel Pending, which sends daily notifications to pick up a package that I don't have and shows me no packages when I open the app. Couples aren't able to pick up packages that came to their s/o's name, even after adding them as household members in the Parcel Pending app. Notifications are inconsistent. Other tenants are experiencing the same issues.
