★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I loved living in this building. The management team was so nice with spectacular views of the water and Manhattan skyline. However there are cons. The windows are not soundproof and I can hear protests from the streets. The bedroom has no light switches that work. There’s also a bike storage room, swimming pool and steam room.
May 10 · Stephanie ChengI’ve been trying to be patient and generous, but this place is about on my last nerve. My family, bless them, pays an arm and a leg for me to stay here in a very small studio, but this place is simply not holding up its end of the bargain. The one thing I am thankful for is that there have been no sightings of mice or roaches, but that’s really where the praise ends. The nice pool and workout room are a plus but not for what were seemingly losing otherwiseThe room is mediocre at best, typical landlord special, though the lights have a tendency to flick and the a/c is questionable at times. The main issue is that the damn elevators don’t work. I have been here for 2 months and literally only 1 or 2 of the four elevators have been working. Keep in mind, a LOT of people live here and it’s almost 40 floors. This means that coming in I can wait up to 20 minutes for an elevator that I can actually squeeze into and on the way down it literally will stop at every floor for people trying to squeeze in. By the time you hit three stops, it’s packed and so hot, and you still have to stop at every floor the rest of the wayI can’t handle it. I hope there is a bylaw I can use to report this to the city, because my family pays so much and I hate to tell them this ridiculousness because of how much it upsets them.It really creates air that management is willing to let the residents suffer for their profit to an extent that is far beyond unacceptable and entirely unethical. If management sees this, replace them or fix them, I do not care. I don’t even see techs working on them. We pay FAR beyond a reasonable amount to expect these to be fixed
June 23 · File CorruptedLiving in a residence at Riverbank (560 W 43rd Street, New York, NY 10036) cared for by such a dedicated team is truly a blessing, not just for the comfort and convenience they offer, but for the spirit of kindness, professionalism, and attentiveness that they bring to their work each day.The front desk staff Robin, Richard, JP, and maintenance staff Diego, George and Christian provide exceptional service and care. The management team Sarah, Stephanie and Daniel also provide the excellent support and leadership.Whether it’s the warm greetings at the front desk, the quick response to maintenance needs, the cleanliness of the common spaces, or the quiet, behind-the-scenes efforts that often go unseen, they make this place feel like home.it is a gift to know that there is a team like theirs creating an environment that is both welcoming and dependable.
June 21 · JoeExtremely frustrating experience living at Riverbank. The building forces residents to use Spectrum wifi and does not allow any alternative providers. Or if they do, then you have to pay for BOTH internet services. This kind of restriction on consumer choice is borderline fascistic and completely out of touch with modern tenant rights. Spectrum's service is highly glitchy and unreliable, and it disrupts your work when you have to WFH. Let me make it clear, the building lures you during your tour and tells you that you're free to put Verizon wifi, but that's all verbal and when it comes to actually getting it done, they won't let youNeither Spectrum nor management has provided real solutions to this broken internet service. If you call Spectrum you have to wait 90 minutes on the phone to actually speak with someone. To make matters worse, the elevators are constantly broken - a long standing issue with the building. It's baffling how management can charge premium rents while offering such subpar infrastructure and limited autonomy over essential services.Would not recommend unless you're ok with unreliable essential services and no say in basic utilities.
August 01 · AgamiThe experience with the elevators in this building is a tragedy. Half the elevators have been broken for months and the management team is unable to fix them in a reasonable time. If you are thinking about living in a higher floor at this building, count on needing 10+ minutes to get to the lobby during rush hours.
