This apartment building is what occurs when self important transplants coalesce. The word “queer” “community” will be incessant while a dweller takes your money while in the process of being evicted.My husband and I made the mistake of subletting an apartment from a squatter by the name of Miranda Amey who sublet her apartment to us under gross false pretenses. Not only was she not allowed to sublet her apartment to us—her landlord had been trying to evict her for months as she failed to pay rent and her utilities. It became ever more apparent that she was unemployed and had no money and thus took the almost 10k we gave her and spent it recklessly without giving us our security deposit back after we cleaned her apartment decorated with cheap and broken furniture we suspect she found at the side of the road, for hours—the first time it’s ever happened to either of us.The apartment complex has many like her. Entitled squatters abound. There is a squatter just doors down who sleeps in the dark as there is no electricity in the vacant apartment. This is what goes on here.I genuinely feel a pang of pity for management who have to deal with these people.
January 29 · Sue-Ann JarrettBeen living here since November 2021.Super is nice, neighbors are friendly, but the tenant union forced the basement to close so a lot of the communal amenities are no longer accessible due to squatting and lawsuits from prior tenants.It's rundown and rustic, no elevators or door man but the building is functional, comfortable and greatly exemplifies the positive characteristics of New York.
December 10 · Dean SoferI was evicted from this building and all of my items are still inside, I’m working on a lawsuit in order to retrieve over $30,000 worth of art work that is inside from artist John Giorno, the management number does not work and there is no way to contact the super, Tony, directly. This hole is also in the basement and I believe it is from the prohibition era and is used for nefarious purposes.

The structure is quirky with rather large rooms, refurbished hardwood floors and exposed brick. There are always a few people hanging out in the front courtyard smoking cigarettes when the weather cooperates.
September 16 · Andrea FjeldI lived here for a few years and just want to say that I'm so happy to be out of there. Bad previous management, worse new management. Rats rats rats everywhere. Whenever we had an issue, they would try their hardest to avoid it. Do not live here.
