Nooklyn Introduce
In the highly competitive and often complex world of New York City real estate, a new generation of agencies is leveraging technology to redefine the process. Nooklyn is a prime example of this evolution, positioning itself as a tech-forward real estate agency that aims to make finding an apartment or a roommate in Brooklyn easier and more efficient. For many New Yorkers, the traditional real estate experience can be filled with outdated listings, tedious paperwork, and opaque processes. Nooklyn was founded on a mission to solve these problems by building an end-to-end digital platform that provides a more transparent and user-friendly experience. They understand the millennial market's reliance on technology and have built their business around an app and website designed to meet those needs. Nooklyn is not just a brokerage; it's a platform that combines real estate services with a community-focused approach, helping people not just find a place to live, but also a neighborhood to belong to. This focus on both the physical property and the surrounding community is a key differentiator in the crowded NYC real estate scene, offering a fresh perspective on a traditional business model.
The agency’s reputation, as is often the case with tech-forward companies, is a mix of highly positive and highly negative feedback. On one hand, you have glowing reviews praising the personalized and expert service of individual agents, like Sarah Zarbeilov, who is described as a professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly responsive partner. This type of feedback highlights the agency's ability to provide a human touch in a digital-first world, offering expert negotiation and support that makes a stressful process feel "confident and supported." On the other hand, a review from a former tenant paints a picture of a company that can be rude, inconsiderate, and pushy, citing issues with miscommunication, boundary violations, and a lack of care for a customer who had been with them for two years. The mention of incorrect listings and pressure to leave a unit unlocked reflects a significant breakdown in communication and professional conduct. These contrasting reviews underscore a fundamental challenge for a growing tech-enabled business: maintaining consistent quality and professional conduct across all agents and all transactions. For prospective clients, this highlights the importance of finding a specific agent who aligns with their needs and values, as individual experiences can vary greatly within the same company.
Nooklyn's main office is strategically located in the heart of one of Brooklyn's most dynamic neighborhoods, placing it squarely in the center of the action. You can find their office at 28 Scott Ave #106, Brooklyn, NY 11237, USA. This address in the Bushwick area is highly accessible for many Brooklyn residents, as it is a short distance from major public transportation hubs. Bushwick is well-connected by the L train and several bus routes, making it convenient for clients coming from different parts of Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Queens. The location in a vibrant, artistic, and rapidly developing neighborhood like Bushwick also allows Nooklyn's agents to have a deep, on-the-ground understanding of the local market. They are perfectly positioned to serve clients interested in lofts, studio apartments, and creative spaces that are characteristic of this part of New York. The accessibility of their physical office, combined with their digital platform, offers a hybrid approach that caters to both modern, tech-savvy clients and those who prefer a face-to-face consultation. While a walk-in visit is an option, much of Nooklyn's business is conducted through their online platform and app, making physical accessibility a secondary consideration for many of their users.
The agency’s presence at 28 Scott Ave is a testament to its commitment to the Brooklyn real estate market. They are a part of the community, and their agents are often locals themselves who live and breathe the neighborhoods they serve. This local immersion is a significant asset, as it allows them to provide valuable insights into community life, including the best bars, restaurants, and cultural spots, as highlighted on their platform's neighborhood guides. This is a level of service that goes beyond a standard listing, helping clients not just find a property, but find a place to belong. The company’s focus on the "Bushwick, Williamsburg, Crown Heights, Greenpoint, and Ridgewood, Queens" areas means they have a hyper-local expertise that is invaluable in a fast-moving market. For clients who appreciate an agency that knows the local pulse, Nooklyn’s location and community focus are major benefits, providing a level of service that feels more like a partnership than a transaction.
Nooklyn offers a distinct set of services that cater to the needs of modern New York renters and buyers, with a strong emphasis on technology and transparency. Their business model is built around an end-to-end digital platform that streamlines the entire real estate process. The company is primarily known for its rental services, particularly for apartments and roommate matching. They have built an award-winning search engine and mobile app that brings in millions of renters each year, providing a direct link between landlords, agents, and prospective tenants. Their platform allows users to manage their listings, generate leads, and even process payments, making the entire process more efficient. While their focus is on rentals, particularly for the millennial market, they also handle sales, including homes for sale, as indicated by a glowing review from a client who was looking to "buy or sell." Their services are designed to address the common pain points of the New York real estate journey, from the lack of transparency to the excessive paperwork, by providing a seamless, digital solution.
Key services offered by Nooklyn include:
Apartment & Roommate Matching: Nooklyn is well-known for its platform that helps renters find apartments and, in a significant number of cases, roommates. Their socially-integrated platform allows users to connect and find a living situation that fits their budget and lifestyle. This service addresses a major need for New Yorkers who may not have a ready-made network of roommates.
Digital Listing & Management Tools: The company has developed a suite of digital tools for real estate agents and property owners to create, manage, and advertise their listings. This technology-first approach is a core part of their business, ensuring listings are up-to-date and easily searchable.
End-to-End Digital Leasing Platform: Nooklyn aims to be a one-stop-shop for the rental process. This includes online applications ("Nooklyn Apply"), digital payments ("Nooklyn Pay"), and a system that simplifies the entire leasing process, from initial contact to the final lease signing. This is a significant convenience that reduces the need for paper-based transactions.
Real Estate Sales Services: While their primary focus is on rentals, the company also offers services for property buying and selling, as highlighted in one of the provided reviews. This shows a broader scope of service beyond just rentals, catering to clients who are ready to make a long-term investment.
Neighborhood Guides: Nooklyn's platform includes original content in the form of neighborhood guides that showcase the best of local culture, from food and art to transportation. This feature helps new residents get a feel for a neighborhood before they move in, providing a valuable community-centric perspective.
Nooklyn's highlights lie in its innovative, tech-powered approach to real estate and its commitment to creating a streamlined, transparent experience. However, the provided reviews also highlight a crucial aspect of their operations: client experiences can vary dramatically depending on the agent and the specific situation. While one review praises an individual agent's expertise and personal touch, another describes a deeply frustrating and unprofessional encounter. This duality is a key feature of the Nooklyn experience and is worth considering for prospective clients. It suggests that while the platform itself is designed for efficiency and convenience, the human element—the individual agent—remains paramount.
Key features and highlights include:
Technology-Driven Platform: Nooklyn's main feature is its award-winning app and website, which streamlines the entire rental process. This includes a user-friendly interface, online applications, and digital payments, which are a major convenience for modern renters.
Emphasis on Transparency: The company was founded to overturn the traditional lack of transparency in real estate listings. Their platform aims to provide clear information and a straightforward process, which is highly valued by New Yorkers tired of scams and outdated information.
Community and Content Focus: Beyond just listings, Nooklyn offers content like neighborhood guides that help clients connect with the community they are moving into. This shows a focus on the lifestyle aspect of real estate, not just the transaction.
Mixed Client Experiences: The provided reviews show that while the agency can deliver an outstanding and personal experience with a great agent, it can also fall short with poor communication and unprofessional behavior. This is a significant point for prospective clients to consider and a reason to seek out highly-rated individual agents within the company, like Sarah Zarbeilov.
To get started with Nooklyn, you can visit their office at 28 Scott Ave #106, Brooklyn, NY 11237, USA. You can also reach them by phone at (347) 318-3595, or via their mobile number, which is +1 347-318-3595. While some reviews mention difficulty with communication, contacting the agency and asking to be connected with a specific agent who has received positive feedback, such as Sarah Zarbeilov, may be the best way to ensure a positive experience. Given their reliance on technology, reaching out through their website or app is also a highly effective way to start your search, as their platform is designed to be the primary point of contact for many users. Their accessibility via both a physical office and a robust digital platform gives clients multiple avenues to engage with their services.
What is worth choosing about Nooklyn is its innovative, tech-forward approach to a traditionally old-fashioned industry. For New Yorkers who are tired of the cumbersome and opaque nature of traditional real estate, Nooklyn's platform offers a refreshing alternative. The agency's commitment to building a streamlined, digital-first experience for apartment seekers and roommates is a significant advantage. However, what is equally worth choosing is the ability to find an exceptional agent, like the one highlighted in the positive review, who can provide a personalized and professional touch within this modern framework. The duality of their service—the efficient platform and the potential for a great human connection—is what makes Nooklyn a unique player in the Brooklyn real estate market. For those who prioritize convenience, technology, and the possibility of working with a top-notch agent, Nooklyn is a compelling option to consider for your next New York real estate venture.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Outstanding Experience with Sarah Zarbeilov in Brooklyn!I recently had the pleasure of working with Sarah to rent in Brooklyn, and I can confidently say that this was one of the best real estate experiences I've had. From start to finish, Sarah was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly responsive to my needs. What really set Sarah apart was their deep understanding of the Brooklyn market. They took the time to listen to what I was looking for in a home and made sure to show me properties that truly fit my preferences and budget. They provided honest, insightful advice and were always available to answer my questions, no matter how small. The process of renting in NYC can be stressful, but with Sarah by my side, I felt confident and supported every step of the way. They negotiated expertly on my behalf and helped me navigate all the complexities of the transaction, making what could have been an overwhelming experience much smoother.Whether you're a first-time renter or an experienced renter, I highly recommend Sarah Zarbeilov to anyone looking to buy or sell in Brooklyn. December 12 · Mendel CohenGenuinely the RUDEST most inconsiderate group of people I’ve ever had this displeasure of working with. We began showing our apartment before moving and happily took the time to do so. I met with one of the realtors and voiced that I was very concerned about them renting to anyone because I had become sick from mold exposure due to a leaking ceiling and the landlord wasn’t doing anything about it. They didn’t care and continued showing it. Ok, not my problem but concerning for the next tenant. The asked us to show the apartment the literal day we were moving. I said it was not a good time since movers were in and then we would be unpacking the new place. They were very pushy and asked me to just leave it unlocked. I repeatedly told them no because we were still on the hook for the security deposit (my landlord was literally a scammer looking for any excuse to keep my deposit). I suggested that if they wanted full access they could end our lease two weeks early and return the security deposit to me which of course they were not willing to do.When I said no I instantly started getting emails from someone else at Nooklyn repeatedly pressuring me to let them show the apartment while we were quite literally in the MIDDLE of moving. I continued to say no and they repeatedly asked me to just leave it unlocked. They texted me 10 minutes prior to the showing time they wanted and were bothered I couldn’t make it work. The next time I showed the apartment the realtor once again asked me to leave it unlocked. I told him no and he became very pissy over it and kept insisting. I told him he asked and I had already answered. Upon hearing this he actually stormed out like a child having a tantrum. I was shocked, kind of insane behavior from a grown man. When the apartment was being shown it was a waste of everyone’s time. They didn’t even have right unit listed and it was completely different photos of a random unit across the hall. So people show up and were upset they weren’t even being shown the apartment they saw online. I told the agents about it and they didn’t do anything about it.This company repeatedly tried to get me to break a boundary that I had already put in place which makes me VERY uncomfortable. Moving is already stressful enough and being harassed doesn’t make it any easier. I had been a resident of that apartment for 2 years and signed through Nooklyn. If they don’t care about me as a customer why would they care about you? AVOID AVOID AVOID.
April 21 · Cassandra KJoel from the Nooklyn team was absolutely fantastic!! He accommodated multiple schedules for my 2 roommates and myself to see units at times that worked for us which was very helpful due to our altering work schedules. Highly recommend working with Joel if you can.
August 04 · Gabrielle GaglianoExtremely pushy agents. Tiffanie would text us when we asked her not to and send an e-mail. We informed them the building was unsafe but they disregarded it. Would get voicemails "I'm just doing my job" trying to get in when we weren't home. Would be rude if we asked anything of her.We originally rented from Nooklyn. The pictures are never of the right unit, communication is limited and they are dishonest.
September 02 · Jennifer TI've worked with Nooklyn for 3 apartments now and for my third one I got to say I've had my best and easiest experience I've had with Mike Weinstock. I'm a sales person myself and I can 100% appreciate a quick and efficient response.I was stressing trying to find an apartment as I travel a lot for work so my time to see a space is VERY limited. He almost immediately responded to one of my inquiries and was able to set up a time right away.He also answered all of my questions and was open and honest. Very easy to work with and if you want to have a great experience I would absolutely tell you to email him directly with places you're interested in!I found the perfect spot with him thanks Mike!
