Choosing an apartment in a competitive market like White Plains involves carefully weighing the pros and cons of each option. While 15 Bank Apartments offers a number of compelling features, it is important for prospective residents to consider all available information. The prime location is undoubtedly a major draw, providing unparalleled access to transportation, shopping, and dining in downtown White Plains. For commuters to New York City, the short walk to the Metro-North station is a huge advantage. Additionally, the amenities, such as the business center, fitness center, and dog park, contribute to a luxurious and convenient lifestyle, as advertised.
However, it is also important to acknowledge the diverse range of experiences shared by past and current residents. While some reviews praise the helpfulness and friendliness of the maintenance staff, other reviews highlight significant concerns regarding management, unexpected rent increases, and issues with building infrastructure like elevators and the parking garage. These experiences, while not universally shared, are important to consider when making a decision. They suggest that while the physical location and amenities are attractive, the quality of service can be a point of contention for some. Ultimately, for a New York user, a choice to live here would be based on prioritizing the exceptional location and modern amenities, while being prepared to engage with management on potential issues. The positive experiences with the maintenance team and the prime location remain strong arguments in favor of this property, making it a place with great potential for the right tenant.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I cannot recommend against this apartment complex enough. The new management company cares about nothing except profit. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!First of all, be warned that the 5 star reviews are likely gamed. There was a period of time where the back office staff were asking us to review them every single time we got a package. Not even kidding, there were stickers reminding us to leave them a good Google Maps review.Issues I've Experienced:1. Unfair rent increases -- at the date of my first renewal, I was quoted more than a 10% rent increase. From what I hear, this amount is consistent with the first-year increase they hit other tenants with. In addition, if you try to negotiate it, the leasing office will dodge you. I had to call more than five times while with my mom was in the hospital just to get a direct answer about the increase.2. Pests -- two weeks was all it took to find a cockroach in my apartment. Really fantastic first impression.3. Parking -- the attached parking garage is really expensive (I think I pay like $200/month for one car). The spots are incredibly tight. They charge more than Tesla does for car charging (and give 8mi/hr). My car has been scratched a ton since moving in, but they can't do anything about it.And, best of all, the gate breaks often (more than once a month), leaving a line of people needing to be manually let in or out. This adds an extra 15-20 minutes to my commute as I sit in the garage waiting for someone to help me.4. Elevators -- they have this really awesome system where, out of the three elevators, only one goes to the parking level. I think it's been about 1/3 of my time here that at least one elevator has been broken. They also allow movers to reserve an elevator, leaving another one out of commission like once a week. Prepare for stairs!5. Out of commission amenities -- when I moved in, they had a pool, garden, outdoor BBQ area, free printing, and free electric car charging. Right now, I think I just have access to the garden. Things will change, so do not account for any of the listen amenities being there in a year!6. No emergency maintenance line -- I've called the 24/7 maintenance line twice since I moved in and no one answered either time. Both times I went down to the front desk and they said they couldn't help me. Awesome!7. Rude office staff -- I think this one frustrates me the most. I've had several conversations with the leasing office, and specific employees have been incredibly rude to me. I once had a sit-down with the regional manager to explain how their electric car charging solution was sub-optimal (they had downgraded the capacity, so I used some queue theory to talk to her about it) and she literally fidgeted with her pen holder the entire time and then said "well it sounds like you shouldn't live here then". I also had the general manager shout at me and call me a liar when I said the wifi in the garage was broken (they had fixed it a week before that meeting). That has been my consistent experience whenever I try to communicate with the staff. I think that the general staff lives in fear of the management too to be honest, I can see the nonverbal queues whenever one of the mean bosses walks by. It's honestly horrible if you need to talk to management about anything.8. Unpopular changes -- in addition to everything else I've listed above, they just seem to hate their tenants. They took away our key fobs, they make us walk through the rain to get into the gym, they spend hundreds of thousands renovating the leasing office while not fixing anything else, and they tell you to kick rocks if you ask about any of it.Please, if you want any happiness in your life ever again, DO NOT LIVE HERE!
August 20 · Anthony MulieriVictor is always so helpful with solving periodic service issues in our apartment and happens to be equally friendly. The staff consistently go above and beyond to make for a great resident experience. Even through an entire building renovation, the standard of service hasn’t diminished.
June 30 · Claude MaloneWe enjoyed our time living here because of the wonderful concierge named Nick. He is so friendly, always kind, very fun to chat with. Though we had to move out for work related reasons, we would preferred to stay here as long as we could because of him.
March 18 · Hiroki TohdaI’d like to share my exceptional experience with the building staff! They are truly kind, courteous, helpful, and wonderful individuals who make our building a fantastic place to call home. Nick, Chester, Deshon & Nay’s dedication to ensuring a comfortable and pleasant living environment is evident in everything they do. Nick is just wonderful 🫶🏼Karen and Julia are also great and always willing to listen to our concerns and willing to support. They’ll go above and beyond to address concerns, consistently demonstrating commitment to resident satisfaction. Their warm and friendly demeanor makes interacting with them a pleasure.Kudos to the entire staff for their outstanding work and dedication!
August 02 · Karla Ruiz SanabriaI’m honestly surprised no one has mentioned the situation over the past year since the new management team took over. There have been endless renovation projects that left most of the building’s amenities unusable for nearly a year, yet we continue to pay a high amenity fee with little transparency on where that money is going. On top of that, access in and out of the lobby is often disrupted due to ongoing construction, which makes daily life quite inconvenient. Despite all this, the management still decided to aggressively raise rents for long-time residents. It’s very disappointing to see how the new management is handling things.
