Fordham Housing Introduce
Finding a reliable and responsive property management company or a trustworthy real estate agency in New York can be a challenging task. For those in the Bronx, particularly around the vibrant Fordham University area, Fordham Housing has a presence as a real estate and property management company. This article aims to provide a comprehensive and factual overview of Fordham Housing, its services, and its role in the local real estate landscape, informed by publicly available data and customer experiences. It is important for potential clients to have a balanced view, considering both the positive aspects and the concerns raised by others.
Fordham Housing operates as a real estate agency and a property management company, serving the needs of tenants and property owners in the Bronx. Their location suggests a strong focus on the Fordham community, which includes a large population of students and young professionals. As a property management company, their services are integral to the daily lives of residents, handling everything from rent collection to maintenance requests. The effectiveness of these services is a key factor in a tenant's living experience, as highlighted by a diverse range of public reviews. One review praises the company, with a tenant noting a very good experience, reasonable rent, and prompt maintenance response, particularly for issues like a lack of hot water. This positive feedback highlights the potential for a professional and supportive relationship with the company. However, other reviews express significant frustration with a lack of communication, unfulfilled promises, and what is perceived as a lack of care for tenants' living conditions. These contrasting experiences show that the quality of service can vary, and prospective clients should be aware of this when considering their options.
As a real estate agency, Fordham Housing would also be involved in connecting prospective tenants with available apartments and guiding them through the leasing process. Their local knowledge would be a key asset in this role, helping individuals navigate the rental market in the competitive Bronx area. While their primary business seems to be property management, their role as a real estate agency is to facilitate these connections and ensure a smooth transaction for all parties involved.

What is worth choosing about Fordham Housing is its deep local presence and its focus on the residential rental market in the Belmont area. For a tenant, finding an apartment with a reasonable price and a management company that responds quickly to maintenance requests can be a significant win, as demonstrated by a positive customer review. For a landlord, partnering with a company that offers onsite services and handles tenant screening can simplify the complexities of property ownership. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I personally had a very good experience with Fordham housing. I lived in a very nice apartment at Cambreleng ave (see photo). Price was reasonable. My utilities were about $80/month.I had to request a maintenance a few times when there were no hot water and everything was fixed quickly.Especially I want to say thanks to Louis Krieger. He was very professional in his decisions and questions. Overall - my experience was very good!
June 07 · Alexander DrozdovTheir management is messy and irresponsible. Before we moved out, they ensured us it was okay to leave our furniture inside the apartment and they would help us move them out. However, right after we have left Bronx, they told us we will get a fine if we keep furnitures inside. It is totally ridiculous. They are also unresponsive. I called five times today during their office hours and yet no one answers. Didn't even get a reply to my email either. When my friends who lived in the next building told them there were rats in the apartment, their response was just like"oh really I am so sorry to hear that." They just don't seem to care about your living condition after they have taken your rents, and would try to find a way to fine you too.Overall, it was a very bad experience with this company. I have now switched to another real estate company in the neighborhood just because they at least know how to reply to emails right away.
May 24 · Sizhe LanThey’re great! Super professional and accommodating. Everyone I know in my building has nothing but good things to say about the landlord and the operation as a whole. Once I decided I wanted to rent last year it only took 20 minutes from start to finish to lock it in and when I decided to renew it took even less! Highly recommend.
April 25 · JakeDO NOT LIVE HERE! The walls are paper thin so you hear absolutely everything. It is awful. Also the neighbors love to play loud music at the most inconvenient times and you can hear everything! Management does not answer emails or phones. They are very responsive when you're signing a lease but other than that they do not reply to anything. When you have an issue in your apartment it will take a week plus for maintenance to come out to fix it. This place is god awful.
January 19 · Savannah SimpsonI have lived in this building for 4 months and i have to agree with most of these reviews except for the good review. I just recently had a package stolen as well and yes it was literally a couple of hours after it was delivered. To top it off, i found the box in the basement and it was empty and one of the maintenance men had been using the empty box to store his cleaning products?? Whats that about?? So i know that someone within the company or the building stole my package. Also yes, first we had roaches, then we had water leaking thru the ceiling and now we have mice! When is it going to stop?? Please stay away from this place.
