★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Super location, great views, apartment is great, very nice appliances. Manager of building is great! Very quite, takes pets. You would never know there are any in the building it’s so quite. Front desk staff very nice and helpful.
August 17 · Helena SheusiThe Lanthian is an amazing place to live. I moved in about a year ago, and as soon as I moved in they brought a new manager, Faith. She is very friendly, and goes out of her way for the residents. The building quickly improved for the best by adding her to the team. Asease has also worked in the leasing office for the past year and is one of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. She sincerely cares about her residents and I highly recommend booking a tour with her.The units are spacious, modern, and most importantly have in-unit washer/dryers.The building has a great study lounge, a nice gym, and an awesome rooftop with lounge chairs and grills. The location is prime, maintenance orders are quickly fulfilled by Bale and his team, and the building is always kept very clean. The doormen are also very friendly. Highly recommended the Lanthian.
April 04 · rob GSpent one year here — incredibly happy. I am only leaving because I need to return to Los Angeles. The units themselves are pleasant to live in, with modern Bosch appliance, open layouts, and ample lighting. Many come with spectacular Manhattan skyline views. The neighborhood is safe, fun, and convenient, with no shortage of quality coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and more on Second Ave and Third Ave.The team sets this place apart. Everyone of the team members goes the extra mile. Bale, the super, is a rockstar. Very competent and responsive but also personable. His team, Ricardo, Justin, Edwin, and Chris, are all equally diligent, hardworking, and a genuine pleasure to be around. The doormen -- Mikey, Will, Devy, and Kerry -- are also at the top of their game. These guys have been working together for years (and sometimes decades). They complement one another flawlessly and make the living experience seamless. I consider many of them friends at this point.
December 22 · Imran AijazuddinReally nice apartments, great management/staff and well maintained amenities. One thing to be aware of though is the noise- particularly if you are sensitive to it. The apartments are near to NYU and directly parallel to their Emergency room so ambulances (and their sirens) will be coming and going 24/7. To some degree this is par for the course in the city, but I did find this area particularly noisy, even by Manhattan standards. If this doesn't bother you then I can highly recommend :)
October 18 · Matt FosterI lived at the Lanthian for almost two years and can say only the good things about this building. My 1-bedroom apt was bigger in size than similar layouts in other buildings. There are washers/dryers in units! All appliances worked well, I never had any major maintenance problems (elevators, hot water, A/C - everything was good). All minor requests were addressed within a day or two. The apt was quite warm in the winter even with no heating on. Common areas (gym, lounge, roof deck) are nice too, and there are grills on the roof deck, which apparently not all buildings have. All building staff are nice and efficient. The building management always communicates promptly and quickly responds to emails, never had any issue with them. My deposit was returned one month after my move-out date. Location is good: supermarkets, two SBS buses, ferry landing and a subway station 10 minutes away. If you are looking for a place in Midtown, I totally recommend it.The only objective downside I can mention is that if your windows overlook the 1st avenue, you will hear some sirens and traffic. Also, if the apt is close to the elevator, you might hear it and people walking by. But then again, it depends on how sensitive you are to noise.
