I went back and forth with them for about 2 weeks. The agent I worked with was a very nice guy and appeared to genuinely want to help, but unfortunately misled me into thinking I would be approved for an apartment.I even Zelled the broker agent a 500.00 deposit to hold the apartment while waiting for final approval.After providing all the documents required and meeting the income threshold, I received a call stating, "The landlord said it was too complicated due to my marital status and didn’t think I could afford it." Albeit the reason had absolutely nothing to do with my eligibility. I met all the requirements.I then reached out to another broker agent with Bouklis and was given the runaround when trying to set up an appointment to look at a different apartment.After stating I was going to file a discrimination complaint with HUD, I received an email stating they would cease responding to all apartment inquiries from me moving forward.I have yet to receive my 500.00 deposit back after more than a week.I would not work with them again either way after such a disappointing experience.

If I could give a 0 Star Rating, I would. I have two points to bring to everyone's attention about this company. Number 1: They expect you to pay a Commission fee of 15% of the Annual Rent on TOP of 1st Month's Rent, PLUS Security Deposit, PLUS Broker Fee. For round numbers, please use $24K for annual rent ($2K per month), do the math, and let that settle in your mind just to get the keys. Number 2: Their agent, Peter Skevas, has been condescending and disrespectful to me. When I asked him to take my name off their call list, he responded to me with name calling - very condescending. I have screenshots to prove it. Please, do yourselves a favor and do NOT do business with this company.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Don’t pick up the phone or answer any emails. The one email they did answer was to tell us they hadn’t updated any listings so they are all inaccurate. What’s the point.

I had a highly disappointing and frustrating experience with The Bouklis Group. From the very beginning, their communication was unprofessional and inconsistent. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, they frequently ignored my calls and failed to respond to messages in a timely manner. Setting up property viewings was incredibly difficult, and when I finally managed to schedule one, they either canceled last minute or didn’t show up at all.It’s frustrating to deal with a company that appears to have little regard for their clients’ time or needs. I was seriously considering moving forward with a property, but their lack of responsiveness and professionalism completely dissuaded me. For anyone looking for a reliable and efficient real estate company in New York City, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. I cannot recommend The Bouklis Group based on this poor experience.This version provides more detail about your frustrations and gives potential clients a clearer picture of what they might encounter. It’s important to stay factual, as it helps make the review more credible and useful.

Besides being late to our appointment, Andreas from Bouklis Group scheduled various people for our viewing time. He did not have an interest in talking to us directly, or telling us about the unit during the appointment. He only spoke to a female potential renter of caucasian descent. He seemed bothered by our simple questions like, "where should we email the application?" or "what is the process of applying?", as if he did not want us to have the apartment. It was strange, we asked the question, and he spoke to the other woman attending the viewing, as if she asked it.He rushed the appointment, forgot to show the apartments bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs (two floor apt.).The entire appointment felt uncomfortable and not welcoming. We were very excited to see the unit otherwise. The unit was worth seeing, but Andreas was rude and made us feel different.
