Tenant Concierge Introduce
In the complex world of New York City real estate, a seamless and efficient experience is something every tenant and property owner desires. Tenant Concierge is a real estate agency and service provider that specializes in a variety of offerings, with a particular focus on property maintenance and support. Located in the bustling Harlem neighborhood, the firm aims to provide solutions that streamline the rental and management process for both landlords and tenants. Their services are designed to address the day-to-day needs of property upkeep, ensuring that apartments are well-maintained and that issues are handled efficiently.
Customer experiences with Tenant Concierge are varied, as is often the case in the real estate and property management industry. One review provides an account of significant frustration, citing "10+ issues" with an apartment after moving in and a "lack of communication" from the company. The reviewer noted that their real estate company had to "push daily" to get maintenance requests handled and that the service felt "chronically mismanaged." However, the same review also praises the "actual maintenance people who do come to do the work," describing them as "extremely friendly and helpful." This suggests a disparity between the administrative and communication side of the business and the on-the-ground work. In contrast, another review offers a very positive experience, stating that for several apartment issues, the company was "on time, and fixed the problem correctly the first time." This client expressed happiness with the service, noting they were "Very happy that the owners of the building use them." These contrasting accounts illustrate that the level of service can vary, but that the on-site technicians are often capable and effective.
Tenant Concierge is located at 177 W 126th St, New York, NY 10027, USA, a prime location in the heart of Harlem. This area is known for its cultural significance and strong community ties, as well as its excellent transportation links to the rest of Manhattan and the city. The office is easily accessible via public transit, with multiple subway and bus lines nearby. This makes it convenient for clients and tenants to visit the office for any necessary face-to-face interactions. While there are no public details available regarding the physical accessibility of the specific office at this address, the location within a bustling urban area ensures that it is well-connected and easy to reach for a wide range of New Yorkers.
Based on publicly available information and customer feedback, Tenant Concierge provides a range of services centered on property management and maintenance. Their core offerings are designed to assist both property owners and their tenants.
Maintenance and Repair Services: This is a key part of their business. As highlighted in reviews, they are dispatched to address a variety of issues, from broken appliances and leaky faucets to HVAC problems. The on-site workers are noted for being friendly and effective in their repairs.
Tenant-Facing Support: The company acts as a liaison between tenants and landlords for maintenance requests. They handle the process of dispatching technicians and, in some cases, are the primary point of contact for tenants experiencing issues with their apartments.
Landlord Assistance: For property owners, Tenant Concierge provides a service that takes the burden of day-to-day maintenance requests off their hands. By outsourcing these tasks, landlords can streamline their operations and ensure that tenant issues are addressed, even if the communication process could be improved.
Several key features define the service offered by Tenant Concierge, as gleaned from the experiences of real customers.
Responsive On-Site Team: Both positive and negative reviews indicate that the maintenance workers themselves are helpful and capable. One review explicitly states that the maintenance team was "on time, and fixed the problem correctly the first time," which is a crucial highlight for any service-based business.
Specialization in Maintenance: Unlike a full-service real estate agency that focuses primarily on sales or rentals, Tenant Concierge appears to specialize in the operational aspect of property management. Their core focus on maintenance and repairs sets them apart as a specialized service provider for landlords and tenants.
Harlem Location: The agency’s location in Harlem is a feature in itself. It positions them to serve a dense, residential area with a high volume of rental properties and a community that values local businesses.

Choosing a real estate service provider, particularly one focused on maintenance and property management, requires careful consideration. What is worth choosing about Tenant Concierge is the fact that their on-site maintenance team is consistently praised for their friendliness and effectiveness. In the busy and often impersonal New York market, having a reliable team that can fix problems when they arrive is a significant benefit. While the communication and management side of the business has received criticism, the positive feedback on the actual work being done is a strong point in their favor. For property owners looking to delegate the practical, on-the-ground work of repairs to a team with a demonstrated ability to get the job done, Tenant Concierge provides a service that can be a valuable asset. For tenants, knowing that the people who will be entering their homes to do repairs are "extremely friendly and helpful" can also provide a sense of comfort and security. Ultimately, despite some of the operational critiques, the core function of the business—repair and maintenance—appears to be executed well, making them a viable option for those prioritizing effective, on-site service.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The real estate company I rent from uses Tenant Concierge for maintenance and it’s terrible. One month after moving in, I’ve had 10+ issues with my apartment including:1) Shower door broken by previous tenant and not replaced2) Fridge shelves broken by previous tenant and not replaced3) Central ACs not working4) Window leak - took 1 week to send someone, so anytime it would rain, kitchen would flood5) Bathroom sink currently leaking, so I can’t use it - they haven’t responded to my calls for 3 days6) Key fob not working, have yet to send replacement7) etc.More frustrating has been lack of communication. They respond to service requests saying they’ll schedule as soon as possible and never reply back, including to follow-ups via their app/phone/etc. Real estate company basically has to push daily and do their job for them. The actual maintenance people who do come to do the work are extremely friendly and helpful. The company itself is just chronically mismanaged.
June 03 · Pratik MahbubaniHave had several issues in my apartment, and every time Tenant Concierge was dispatched they were on time, and fixed the problem correctly the first time. Very happy that the owners of the building use them.
May 01 · Raymond GraziThese guys are pretty bad. The broker Andrei Zaharia lied to us, for example about heat being included in the rent. They don't repair things for us, unless it's a trivial easy fix.
December 24 · Axel WidmarkThis was the worst cleaning service I've ever encountered in this city. The porter was lazy and paid no attention to detail. Our Condo hired Daily Maintenance in a pinch to service our building until we could onboard a new Super. They were fired after two cleanings. After the first cleaning we noticed that the floors in our common areas were cloudy and streaky. Camera footage shows the porter spraying cleaning product on the floor and dry mopping it. No water- just spreading the existing dirt around on the floor. None of the railings or other high-touch surfaces were cleaned, despite the prevalence of COVID. We also had a leak on the staircase between the roof deck and the top floor. The porter made no attempt to clean up the area where water and sheetrock had fallen on the steps, making the staircase dangerous to access. In our email correspondence with Ezra we brought up all of these concerns. We received an email back after the next cleaning to say that all of our concerns were addressed, but we have photos to prove that our building was just as dirty as it was before. Save yourself the trouble and go with another company that's competent and mindful in the way that they run their business.
February 15 · Condo BoardIf your landlord says they use TC, run. They will ignore you while leaving your apartment in disrepair. If they are your only contact for the building, run. They are scapegoats for the landlord. They are not property management and do not do anything to the building proactively.
