There are two contemporary sculptures ( a red garden tool and one other) in this open space and another one (a giant saw) in the building lobby. Pretty interesting.
August 30 · THE EXPLORERIconic modernist building on Park Avenue designed by Gordon Bunshaft (1909-1990) of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Completed in 1952, it was the first modern high rise on Park Avenue. It's diagonally across from Mies van der Rohe's Seagram Building, which makes the intersection of 53rd Street and Park Avenue truly iconic indeed.
