Fairfield Properties Introduce
In the vast and competitive landscape of New York real estate, a company's reputation is built not just on the properties it manages, but on the quality of its service and the relationships it fosters with clients. Fairfield Properties, a well-established name on Long Island, specializes in commercial real estate, offering a broad range of services that extend far beyond simple brokerage. Located in Melville, NY, this agency is known for its extensive portfolio of office buildings, residential rental communities, and its comprehensive approach to property management. This article will provide a factual and detailed overview of Fairfield Properties, helping New Yorkers understand the full scope of their offerings and what to consider when engaging with their services. The information presented is based on publicly available data, providing a clear picture of their business model and operations.
Fairfield Properties is a major player in the Long Island real estate market, with a significant footprint in both commercial and residential sectors. While the provided information focuses on their role as a "Commercial real estate agency," it's important to note their broader presence. They manage a large portfolio of multifamily properties and commercial office spaces across Nassau and Suffolk counties. This dual focus allows them to offer a wide array of services that cater to a diverse clientele, from large corporations seeking office space to individual tenants in their residential communities. Their business model is built on being a full-service provider, handling everything from leasing and maintenance to property development in-house. This integrated approach is designed to ensure a consistent experience across their properties and services.
However, it is crucial for potential clients to be aware of the experiences of current and past customers. The reviews provided highlight significant challenges related to customer service and maintenance. Issues such as unresponsiveness from the leasing office and corporate, as well as prolonged maintenance problems like a non-functional AC, are mentioned. These accounts suggest that while Fairfield Properties may be a large and dominant force in the market, as one reviewer put it, they may face challenges in providing timely and attentive care to individual clients. This "too big to care" perception is a key piece of information for anyone considering working with them, particularly for residential tenants or small businesses in their commercial properties. It underscores the importance of a thorough vetting process and open communication when entering into any agreement with a large property management firm. While the promotional aspect of their business is evident in their widespread presence, the factual experiences of clients must also be considered for a balanced perspective.

What is worth choosing
Fairfield Properties' extensive range of services and significant presence in the New York real estate market make them a go-to for commercial and residential needs on Long Island. Their ability to handle everything from commercial brokerage to HOA management and various types of insurance under one roof offers a level of convenience and integration that is hard to find elsewhere. This "full-service" approach can be a major benefit for businesses and individuals who prefer to work with a single entity for multiple real estate and property-related services. The accessibility of their Melville office is also a notable positive. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our office is in one of their Hauppauge buildings. Going on two years of issues with the AC in my office. I've dealt with 90+ degrees in here for most of the Summer at this point. Ever hear the term too big to care? That is what comes to mind w Fairfield.
July 17 · Cynthia ConeThe apartments are great but dealing with the leasing office, maintenance and corporate is horrible. I've called and emailed several times. Not just the leasing office, but corporate and no one gets back to you. My attorney spoke to them and still no response. I do not recommend Fairfield at all, their customer service is some of the worst I've ever experienced and my rent is paid on time every month.
February 11 · Supa MarkYou can get nice apartments from this company with good local maintenance staff (depending on the community apparently). But the management is the worst. They do not respond to emails, mailbox messages, nothing! Days and weeks go by if you are not constantly pushing over the phone, where they even just hang up on you. Then they refer you to people who are not reachable via phone but only email, and you get no responses there. Be very very careful, particularly when you move out!
September 16 · TobiasThe so called renovated apartments are in such bad and dilapidated condition, that need urgent repairs desperately. Some are hazardous and dangerous conditions that can lead to serious injury or possibly death. The walls and ceilings are cracking, there are mold and mildew spores in the bathroom, the floors and stairs squeak, the new appliances don’t work. I requested repairs multiple times but property manager refuses to respond. I agree with other tenants about not paying rent to get thrown out but I hear this company will nickel and dime our security deposits for every little thing. I feel that technically we will be forced to pay for all the damages that were deliberately left or made due to poor quality repairs and renovations.
October 24 · Harold J LevineFrom what we can tell, the way these properties have gotten so big is by creating really nice facades and then run everything else on a shoestring. They showed us a beautiful apartment in Lake Grove, but we got one with issues and, as it turned out, we shouldn't have accepted it. The maintenance man was friendly but overstretched trying to cover three complexes, and they ended up using our deposit to replace their already-worn carpet. When we complained, they completely ignored us until we finally jumped through the hoops necessary to see them at small claims court. They settled for 3/4 of the cost, which was not unreasonable, but the whole process left a sour taste. Throw in thin walls + no recycling service and I can't say I recommend anyone stay with them.
