When considering a real estate agency or property management company, it is essential for New Yorkers to weigh all available information to make an informed decision. The public data on Dira Realty indicates they are a local agency with a physical office and a phone number, which is a starting point for communication. However, the provided customer reviews offer a detailed and critical perspective that is important for any potential client or tenant to consider. The reviews describe significant concerns, including issues with communication, property conditions, security, and responsiveness to tenant complaints.
The reviews allege that the company's communication is "horrible" and "outdated," leading to late information and the sending of court documents for collection. It is also alleged that communication is primarily through mail, which can be unreliable. Furthermore, the reviews state that properties managed by the company, specifically at 456 Schenectady Avenue and 474 Brooklyn Avenue, are in "deplorable conditions" with issues like vermin infestations, garbage disposal problems, lack of adequate heat in the winter, and non-working elevators. The reviews also mention security concerns due to non-working cameras and unlocked side doors, and a lack of response from management regarding tenant complaints about noise, drug use, and other anti-social behavior in common areas. The reviews suggest that the management's primary focus is on collecting rent, with little regard for the safety and living conditions of the tenants.
This publicly available feedback is a significant element of the company's profile. For any New Yorker considering engaging with Dira Realty, especially as a tenant in one of the properties they manage, it is highly recommended to conduct thorough due diligence. Visiting a property in person and speaking with current tenants can provide a firsthand account that complements this public data. Making a decision that is fully informed by all available information is the most prudent path forward.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This landlord/management company is horrible! Very outdated, they do not communicate properly, management will inform you of things late and then send you court documents for collection. information and contracts should be able to be sent via email as well as paper. Things continuously sent through mail were it tends to get lost or they never receive it. The building it self is not clean they have people hanging out in and around the building very unsafe! Would not recommend dealing with them.
January 21 · Lakeishia RobinsonThis realty company owns several buildings in Brooklyn all of which are in deplorable conditions. 456 Schenectady Avenue is severely vermin infested (gnats, flies, roaches, waterbugs, mice, rats). The tenants throw garbage out of the window. During the winter season they don't provide adequate Heat. 474 Brooklyn Avenue is a 6 story building that has been without an elevator for 3 months. There hasn't been any elevator service people working on this elevator in over two weeks. However, management keeps telling the tenants it's being worked on. The security cameras in the lobby do not work ...people's Mail Packages have been stolen and when you contact the office to ask to review the camera they lie and say the system is down. The cameras do not work at all; they are there just for show there is no security in this building the side door's always open. Undesirable people hang out in the hallway smoking cigarettes leaving cigarette butts on the hallway floors and in the staircases. Groups of people in the hallway hanging out using drugs, smoking marijuana, drinking, they leave drug paraphernalia, liquor bottles, beer bottles, beer cans garbage in the hallway all up and down the staircases. When you complain to the management the management does not respond to your complaint nor do they take action against the tenants who are destroying the building. The tenants have loud parties in their apartments until the wee hours of the morning when people have to work and when you complain to the management office they don't address that either. The management makes no effort to reach out to the tenants who file complaints with them but if you owe them rent they know how to contact you then; they even called the super and have the super knock on your door looking for you when they have not received your rent check for that month. So the only thing this management cares about is collecting their money they don't care about the conditions that the tenants live in they don't care about the dangers that the tenants are in by these strange people lingering in the hallway and lack of camera security and secure doors.

April 25 · samuel “HARDlittleME” simonsWorst landlords you will ever have to deal with. Just look at the violations reported to 311 (try 712 Crown Street). The owner, Isaac Hager, has sent unlicensed exterminators to get rid of bedbugs, moves transients into his basements during the Jewish holidays, fails to maintain buildings' cleanliness, has 1 super for close to 300 apartments, and the list goes on and on. Do NOT move into any of his buildings unless you're ready to be in court constantly.
September 20 · Maya HI just moved into one of their building(125th Lenox Rd.). The day before I moved in, I walked the neighborhood trying to get to know the people. Every person I talked to, had negative thoughts about 125th Lenox Rd. Each one of the people called it "The Drugs and Gang Building". On my second day in this building, I went to check my mailbox. I open my mail box to two bundles on crack cocaine. The drug dealer stashed their drugs in my new lock on my mailbox. It was not a force entrance. Explain that one please.I have totally regret moving in this building.Everyday I come home, there are drugs dealer on the stairs of the entrance of the building. You have to ask them to let you by. They are there all day and half of the night. Talking, drinking, and playing dominoes into early morning ( 3AM).One month in the building someone was shot. There was police in the lobby and across the street of the building for two weeks. That was the only time we got some peace of mind.Thing are back to the same old chaos as usual. I am reporting this to the 67 precinct, and 311.The building need security, and cameras in the lobby. We are paying too much money to live in the "OLD" building. They are slumlords. We have a lot of senior citizens living here. The elevator is always out( it has 6 floors).Mr. Pernell(the maintains person) is flirting with the female tenants, and not fixing thing people requested two weeks in advance. If you are planing on moving in this building, please think twice. This place is like living in the Twilight Zone. I am looking for a new place. I have only been here for a few months.Good lucky with your moving endeavors.
