It was a nice property at a fair price, the agent, however, was distant. We never met him, only interacting through short texts, despite there being an in-person viewing scheduled. The times being what they are, in terms of the pandemic, I dismissed it.We applied in part because I talked to him about arranging for a soft credit inquiry. I understand why hard inquiries are done, but Sammy agreed through text that the inquiry would be soft and wouldn't affect our credit.In the coming days, he picked several fights with one of our roommates, which was strange, because, even though he wasn't the most effuse texter, he didn't respond to either other roommate as hostilely. He accused her of having a fake credit score because she was "too young" to have good credit. He then hard ran two of my roommates' credits, going back on what we'd discussed and what I had in writing. He then said her credit report had revealed a criminal record.Now, credit reports don't have any access to criminal history, and no mention of a background check had ever been made to us. My roommate asked to see the report, and he refused to show it to her. Given that the realtor will be communicating his opinions, I'm worried that his false claims about my roommate will affect our standing as tenants. I don't feel safe renting under these hostile conditions.

So me and a roommate wanted to rent a apartment. Knowing everything is in order shouldn't be a problem it wether a deny or not. But this guy name Sammy asked me in particular unessercy questions about my life also impart saying I have a record (in which I do not). He also lied about doing a soft credit check. It like every time I get a call or a email it like can you prove your a human being. I felt really racially profiled and uncomfortable. I worked hard to get where I am today and no one should ever have to deal with these guys.

Block and Lot refuses to apologize lies and says that "they do not have an agent named Jesse" Yes, there is an agent named Jesse, just do a google search. Please own up to having unprofessional agents. Please be very careful when using this company. Very bad experience!
