Do NOT work with this agency. They are scammers. They will string you along, they are not responsive, and they are working as brokers for property mangers who are a scam.They are terrible to work with and dishonest. After weeks of working with them to get an apartment, I finally got a text from the agent saying that I was approved and the lease was being drafted. Because of that, I booked movers (for a couple hundred mile move), rented a car, and stopped looking for other apartments. The next day, I checked in to ask about the progress on the lease since I hadn’t received it yet, and was again assured via text that it was being written up and should be sent my way shortly. The next day (day 3), I checked back yet again to ask for the lease so I could review and sign it, and once again, via text, the agent told me she had just checked on it and it should be finished any time, and she would send it my way as soon as she got it. The next day (now going on day 4 of being told a lease would be coming my way any moment and that I had already been approved by the owner and management), I asked again about the lease, since my move date was now just over a week away, and I had no lease and I was getting worried. Only then did the agent respond to me and say that I would not be getting the lease because of a change in my credit score (it had recently gone UP significantly—so that reasoning made no sense).The agent I worked with was very unprofessional. First, she wasn’t even aware of the actual asking price for the apartment. I had to inform her what it was listed for multiple times after finding it on StreetEasy. At first, it seemed like the agency’s whole operation was a scam, because when I asked some questions about the unit in an initial outreach email and let them know that the unit was listed by another agency at a different price than they showed and I thought that other listing might be fraudulent, whoever from 5 Boro responded completely ignored my questions and the fact that there were multiple listings for the same apartment, and they just sent me a template application and told me to complete that prior to getting even a video tour, without responding to any of my questions (and they signed the email “[Your Name]”). Even when we finally had a conversation going, I repeatedly had to text the agent I was working with multiple times to get a response, and even had to copy in or go directly to her boss to get a response on multiple occasions. At one point, I made a trip to NYC from DC to see the apartment in person at a time she chose, and that morning, minutes before the showing was to scheduled to begin, she told me she would be 30 minutes late...then ended up NOT EVEN SHOWING UP, and had me show myself around the apartment on my own. She couldn’t even be bothered to make the showing that she scheduled. In the end, I ended up just going directly to the head of the agency, Nina, to get responses. I reached out to Nina about the issue of being promised a lease multiple times only to have the rug pulled out from under me just a week prior to when I was expecting to move in, and at first she seemed to genuinely care and want to help, but after a couple text messages, she completely ghosted me and turned unresponsive.TL;DR: Avoid working with this company. They will at best waste your time, and may end up costing you thousands of dollars by stringing you along and making you believe you have an apartment that they won’t deliver.RESPONSE TO OWNER REPLY: I do NOT have a judgement against me, and have written proof provided by my creditor showing that one of the 3 credit bureaus has that as a mistake that is in process of being removed—which I clearly explained to you and your scammy broker (who has only 1-star ratings on Google with more than 20 reviews). You keep very poor company, and I will absolutely be filing a claim against 5 Boro for financial damages.

Great agency to work with! I sold a my home using Nina and Victor. This was my first property I sold and this team made the process so easy. Every call and text was answered immediately, they were beyond responsive. They took charge of the sale by setting up open houses until we went to contract. I don't know how they did it but they attracted serious buyers and prospects. I was amazed. I recommend 5 Boro and Nina and Victor. Truly amazing! Thank you for getting my house sold as quickly as you did.

Victor is a great communicator, an expert in the field, and excelled in his work as a real estate professional. He was the agent who showed me my dream house and immediately became my buyer agent on the spot as I like his friendly and effective communication style. He always wanted to make sure I am satisfy during every step on my purchase. He would re-confirm my interest and advises me the best way to negotiate with the sellers. He is always available and flexible when needing to reach him in awkward hours, and I was able to reach out to him a few times very late in the evening to ensure our real estate transaction was not delayed and completed in record time.
