★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I rented from them for one year. The management company was very standard NYC -- not great but not the worse I've encountered. My score is SPECIFICALLY for JOE. I don't know if he is the owner or simply a real estate agent -- I don't care. He and one other agent were tasked with showing people my apartment while I still lived here (which is standard practice). How Joe went about it was absolutely VILE. This is still on going but I've blocked Joe and reported him to the management company. I won't ever speak to him again.He initially contacted me during a work day last week asking to come over with only 4 hours notice. I'm entitled to at least a 24 hours notice. After that he asked to have access to my place for an entire hour, stating that sometimes the clients are late. After some back and forth we found a time that worked for all of us. I was ready for them all to come and then I got a text from a strange number. Joe gave my number out without my consent! He was not present for the showing and wanted me to let this person, whom I do not know, into my space without him. He didn't even have the decency to let me know he would not be here. I have been nothing but a great tenant and to be treated with such disrespect, inconsideration and negligence is insulting. The poor girl who came to see the apartment was left standing outside wondering where Joe was while texting and calling ME and ringing the doorbell. He put me in harm's way but assuming I would be okay with letting people into my apartment by myself. I still live here!! I've paid my rent on time and he is treating me as though this is not my home. He obviously doesn't care about the safety of those he works for. This is a complete violation of the Code of Ethics.To add insult to injury, Joe went on to bad mouth me to the prospective tenant. He gave them no apology or explanation for what was going on other than "Sydney isn't nice". The joke was on him because the other tenant and I had a whole conversation about him being INSANE and I forwarded the other agent's information to them. Joe is a nightmare to work with — and I work in real estate on the side so I am completely and utterly disgusted by his behavior. He was scheduled to arrive at 5pm - he never showed up.

No matter what time you call or if you leave a voicemail they do not pick up. Our building has a cockroach infestation and they do nothing about it . The elevator has gotten stuck countless times and they do not fix it . Would steer clear of signing a lease with this company. Go elsewhere where they actually communicate with their tenants. If I could give this realty a -10 I would I .

The heating system comes on for a maximum of 6 minutes then goes off in 2 hours lapse.They are irresponsible when it comes to making repairs. I know of a tenant’s floor that is similar to the outside pavements and she has called multiple times to no avail. I don’t want to speak about to the professionalism of this organization, it just doesn’t exist. There is a big disconnect with communication too. They will just send someone without your knowledge (you’ll really experience the ghetto treatment from this company).I strongly believe that if you are in the service industry you’re suppose to be service-oriented, exercise empathy and above all treat others as how you want to be treated.In a nutshell they would have gotten a no star if that existed, that’s why I gave the 1 star.I would implore all tenants to educate themselves and know their rights.

The landlord is the textbook definition of a slumlord & here's why: multiple times has claimed never to receive rent payment but as soon as the bank gets involved it's suddenly updated, his staff lies to tenants, gives false information & are extremely rude, the buildings are infested with roaches, water bugs & rodents & they say & I quote: " we're aware the building in swarming with them" yet nothing has been done, the buildings are in utter disrepair & are filthy, there's no heat in the winter, the superintendent hires the supers from the building next door to do the garage... the list goes on & can be attested for for at least the last ten years. This company, it's staff & it's buildings are hazardous & unethical.
