Building Management: Paley Management Corporation is responsible for the day-to-day management of the buildings they oversee. This involves working with landlords, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring that the buildings and their common areas are well-maintained and in good shape.

Paley Management Corporation sets itself apart with several key features that highlight its approach to real estate and property management in New York City.
Small, Personal Office: Operating with a smaller staff allows them to provide a more personal and hands-on level of service. This can lead to more direct communication and a greater sense of responsiveness, as clients are not dealing with a large, bureaucratic organization.
Upper East Side Specialization: With over 35 years of experience and a clear focus on the Upper East Side, the agency possesses a deep and specialized knowledge of this particular market. This local expertise is invaluable for both property owners who want to maximize their investment and tenants who are looking for the right fit in a specific neighborhood.

Their role is to ensure a balanced and professional relationship, handling the responsibilities of a typical management office, such as rent collection and maintenance requests, with a focus on being helpful and responsive.
Streamlined Processes: Client feedback indicates that the application and approval process for rentals is often described as easy, which is a significant highlight in the often-cumbersome New York City rental market. This efficiency is a benefit for those looking to secure a new home quickly and without unnecessary hassle.
Local and Responsive Staff: Reviews highlight that the staff is often described as helpful and responsive. This kind of personal and direct engagement is a key feature of a smaller management company and can make a big difference in a tenant's living experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Horrific experience with this management company. I lived on 72 and york and the company/owner of the building was letting homeless people live in the storage closets/empty units. I found a homeless man sleeping in the closet next to my unit early one morning. The police came and I moved out of the unit within days. Paley management had the nerve to prorate 6 days from the security I received back. They did not help pay for the $900 I spent on movers or offer any other compensation for the long term effects this incident caused on my mental health. I am lucky to be alive and safe. Do not use this management company. See the photos below of the closet where I found the homeless man sleeping/living. Police found food and clothing.
July 26 · Alison DiMariaThey’re fine. Just a typical New York management office. Smaller office and small staff, but have always been helpful when needed. Easy application and approval process. My building’s landlord is super responsive, and the building/apartment is in fine enough shape. The reviews are very very dramatic. Feel safe to use, but don’t expect to be wow’ed.
March 28 · Lilly BothwellMoved out of one of their apartments a few months back.Always thought management companies were supposed to be as hands off as this company, but the management company I deal with now is a hundred times better. Unlike Paley, my new company responds to issues, is nice and professional, and works with, not against, me. I won't name them as to avoid making this an advertisement, but, if you have any choice in the matter, avoid these people!
May 15 · A Google UserIf you were affected by hurricane Sandy and need to relocate because of the storm save yourself the trouble and cross this management company off of your list. They do not disclose their procedures to you. My Battery Park apartment was destroyed by Sandy and I went to Paley to find another solution after the co-op I live in on the Upper East Side sold. First Kim told me that they take applications on a first come, first serve basis, which is a lie, they don't. Then they did not return my tax documents! She claims that they shred them but after seeing the other reviews I don't trust this company at all. Good riddance, I've been through enough trouble and dealing with them is too much of a hassle. Definitely forget Paley and go to Nest Seekers, they know how to do their job and care about their clients!
March 31 · Chelsea HarmonThey require a $50 application fee in cash (sketchy) and take several applications at once to determine the "best fit," when really they are just collecting on several application fees per apartment. The office looks like an episode of Hoarders--applications laying everywhere with people's SSN out for all to see. I highly recommend working with a different company if possible.
