Crescent Club Reviews
Worst ever. We moved out after one-month’s suffering from the noise of a construction site immediately by the side. The noise persisted from 6 am to 5 pm everyday, up to 50 db measured in the bedroom. The horn was so loud that it woke us up 6 am nearly every day. The mixer car was literally by the window downstairs producing low frequency noise for the whole day. We had to escape from this place everyday to find some peace.Feels like a leasing scam. The super and concierge know the construction noise but never informed us before moving in. The leasing agent Lolita showed us the apartment twice during off-hours when there’s no noise.Management is bad. Washer and driver is dirty and broken and is still not fixed for 3 weeks. They tried to show us another unit but didn’t inform the tenant currently living in the unit.Never consider this place.
November 21 · Roka LiI lived at crescent club for 8 enjoyable years. I made many lasting friends and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of the building. My apartment was sunny and had great lighting with east and west exposures. The building amenities like the pool and fitness center added to a sense of community. Overall the building supers and porters were very accommodating whenever I had an issue (and there were a few maintenance issues). Most of the doorman were cheerful and friendly. I would certainly recommend Crescent Club - particularly the units on upper floors or those with large terraces. A good value for the right unit.
June 21 · Janet BartucciAwesome location, plenty of amenities (rooftop, pool, gym) and well priced. I’ve enjoyed living here and experiencing the ever growing LIC neighborhood.
August 10 · Paul FeshchenkoNice, quiet, well-maintained building. However there are quite a few issues to note under the surface.First, the doormen are not professionally dressed and literally won't ever open the door if you had a bag full of hands.Second, I had a big issue with the corrupt maintenance staff which basically broke into my apartment when I was not there as I was moving out, ate my food and smoked marijuana in my apartment. Fortunately I was able to work it out with management, otherwise I would've filed a report with the NYPD.Third, the value is just not there, for about 15% less you can get a building with a lot more amenities. Fourth, the garage below is leased out to a third-party company which will be ending their contract in 2018 and only doing valet for the hotel across the street. Good luck finding parking after that on this busy street! I would look for other amenity-rich buildings and use this as a very last resort.
February 17 · RyanThe positive reviews give absolutely no detail on why they have a 5 star rating for this place. But I will give you all the detail you want, from the point of view of a tenant that lived there for four years. It felt like home. We'd been there for long enough that the thought of moving to another place didn't even come to our mind. We were comfortable in the space we had built during the 4 years of being there. But everything changed in exactly one night. That was the night we learned about the priorities of the management. Before that night, we had never been part of any sort of issue to have to involved them. What happened that night was unusual and scary; it started with the shattering noises of pots and pans being banged against each other. We opened our home's door to discover the sound is coming from our neighbor. I try to stay out of peoples' business, but I was concerned for the safety of whoever was on the opposing end of those shouts and screams. So we knocked!Door opens to angry man charging towards my brother. But luckily he was physically restrained by his roommate. "F*** YOU" was the only vocabulary used by this gentleman.Long story short: we recorded the whole incident. Then we went to inform the security of this situation taking place right next to our home. That's when the neighbors and us were faced to faced once more; this time in front of the security and the cameras. Again, the gentleman was restrained and pulled out by his roommate who was screaming, "STOP! They're going to call the cops!!!"We didn't call the cops. We decided to rely on the management of our home, where we had lived for 4 years with not even one issue in the past.I'll stop here and say; sure, the neighbors sucked. But it was our management's response to this event that really opened up our eyes.**** And this is what I want you to take away from this review ****While the management agrees that this circumstance was entirely out of our hands (this was sent to us via email), they ultimately ended the discussion with "it's out of our hands." Essentially telling us that they acknowledge the safety issues that are directly connected to our unit, but they choose to not get involved.I vividly remember: at that point, our home did not feel like a home anymore. It turned into this uncomfortable space we had to spend our days in, until our lease came to an end. Every time I wanted to leave the house, I'd be worried to run into a man charging at me, while screaming F you.I've lived in enough places to know that bad neighbors are sometimes part of it. But it didn't make any sense why the management wants to get rid of a us; the tenant that's been there for a long time with consistent record of on time payments, no prior issues, nothing. And then we checked the listing of the place that was once our home. That extra $500 a month on the rent.Oh well. At the end we did find a place that was so much nicer, and it honestly took a lot less time than I thought it would.(long version of story + videos available if you message me. The videos are insane! If you are thinking about moving into this building, I would be more than happy to jump on a call to go into more detail regarding everything.)
