October 28 · Karen CampbellUPDATE: called the number listed in the response, pressed option 3 to speak to management, and the gentleman answering the phone was unfamiliar with the google review or who responds to them. Maybe the response is automated, maybe there's a communication breakdown in their organization. Either way, I have moved no closer to having hot water in my apartment.Camelot Realty manages the apartment building that we currently lease and it has not been an excellent experience.I would like to call out that our super is responsive and seems to be trying, and that they have a nice service ticket portal as well as payment portal.What they lack is communication and follow through. Since the beginning of the calendar year we have been without consistent hot water; an issue that forces us into having only one person shower at home per day (this is a 4 bed/3 bath apartment).To be totally transparent, they have sent a number of plumbers to our unit, but the advice and work that those plumbers have suggested to resolve the issue (replacement of the hot water heater) has not been acted upon. The issue has not been resolved, or even improved.At every step of the process I have had my communication ignored, either in the service ticket portal where this ticket has been open since Feb. 1. I have also been ignored when sending emails directly to them. None of my calls have been returned. No one has ever excepted my open invitation to set a time to meet/call/video call. They have stopped by on short notice and they certainly have my contact information because they have, on occasion, managed to use it to send communication unrelated to the hot water issue.Most recently I was told by one of property managers, "[they are] putting together a call with [their] office to see what [they] are doing to move forward. [They] should have better direction by next week." That was on April 4th; the next day there was another in-person meeting with a plumber/electrician and the PM where it was confirmed that we would have an update the following week (the week of April 8th).Sadly, and now unsurprisingly, I am still without hot water, still without communication about the issue, and still awestruck by the lack of communication and professionalism in handling the issue.If I were a property owner I wouldn't want my asset handled by Camelot because they are not protecting the investment of the owner's who are, in my estimation, losing money by not being able to collect rent and incurring fines with the city.As a tenant, I cannot encourage you enough to consider the quality of the property management handling your home; this is truly a terrible experience that could be handled so much more empathetically and professionally it's absurd that they cannot manage to do it.To the person who responds to these reviews:- Service Ticket ID #3679- HPD sent inspectors who confirmed the issue, your super confirmed the issue, and your PM confirmed the issue: why isn't it fixed?- Why won't anyone respond to a request for an update on the issue?

Everything was complicated and delayed. Not sure if the agent was overwork or just did not care, our agent was a nightmare to deal with. If you are looking for a new management company I would advise you to pass them over. We switched to another company and all the owners were glad we did .PS this review is solely evaluating the performance of the managing agent - has nothing to do with the building finances . Is typical that this Company blames everybody else except themselves .
